1. Tell us about yourself.
“I was born into the tropical business; my father Julio Sr was one of the founding fathers of tropical produce in America. I married my high school sweetheart Joanne. I have two amazing grown children, (Michael & Amanda). I love sports, fishing and playing with my chocolate lab Montana.
2. What are you most proud of?
“Outside of my family, I’m proud of my body of work over a long period of time in the industry. I’m proud of the people I’ve mentored throughout the years and the good that has come from my work in Latin America, getting people off the streets and providing good earning jobs. I’d like to think that I was at the forefront of the Fairtrade Movement, making sure my farmers and shippers provided good working conditions for their workers.”
3. What is your favorite food or meal?
“That’s easy, favorite food, pizza. Favorite meal, I’ll go old school steakhouse, medium rare porterhouse steak, creamed spinach, truffle fries and a good glass of Bordeaux.”
4. Where do you see Produce Experience in the future?
“I see us creating a national brand recognized for excellence. I see Produce Experience as a leader in our categories. I see us changing the industry through our relentless desire, innovation, work ethic and dedication to providing our customers with the best products.”

I’m living the Produce dream! On my off time, I like to play basketball and golf with friends.
2. What are you most proud of?
I’m proud of all the hard work our team has put into Produce Experience. We’re a fast growing company in a dynamic industry. It has not been an easy road, but we have managed to pull through. Proud of everyone – let’s keep it going!

If you know me, you know I love to eat. My favorite meal is the next one.

More locations, more customers, more vendors, more trucks, more Produce.

I am a former chef who has a love for all things food. I thrive on success, in sports, business and life. I genuinly care for people and the agricultural industry as a whole.
2. What are you most proud of?
I am proud to be a part of our ever growing company and the standards we stand by, from resourcing, packing and caring for our customers.
3. What is your favorite food or meal?
One of my all time favorite food is a nice juicy cheeseburger. There is nothing more satisfying and fulfilling any time of the day, breakfast, lunch or dinner.
4. Where do you see Produce Experience in the future?
In the years to come I see our company, Produce Experience, becoming not a just a company or brand but a new way to make the industry a more enjoyable experience.
